As many as 6–8% of children and up to 10.8% of adults report having a food allergy, making food allergy prevention an important public health issue. Food allergies have significant impacts on physical health, quality of life, increased financial burden, and lost opportunities for the allergic individual and family. However, the latest guidelines for early introduction of peanut and other potential allergens has the potential to reduce future cases of food allergies and their associated burden significantly. Gain an update on the latest science, review of the newest guidelines, and tools to help parents confidently feed infants with an eye toward food allergy prevention.
