Event Details

Each year in the U.S., nearly 500,000 patients seek medical treatment for burn injuries and 40,000 need inpatient hospitalization. To leave blisters or not leave blisters, that is the question. Gain the tools and knowledge needed to manage minor burns in the outpatient setting through a presentation with vivid photos and case studies. The initial evaluation of the burn, including determination of wound depth, proper wound care and scarring, will be discussed. Examine the various causes of burns and the identification of non-accidental burns in children.
