Improve your knowledge surrounding basic nutrition, nutrition’s role in the disease process, the provision of nutrition counseling, and specific nutritional deficiencies related to common dietary practices in the U.S diet. Understand what deficits might be encountered with dieting and/or bariatric surgery patients, which diets are best for specific disease states, and how best to screen/assess nutritional status.
