Event Details

The Perioperative Surgical Home Model is a novel approach which provides an opportunity to help patients “optimize” their chronic medical conditions and “prehabilitate” by making meaningful lifestyle changes prior to elective surgery. By identifying high risk individuals, and helping them optimize chronic medical conditions, increase physical activity, and improve nutrition, we can decrease the rate of adverse outcomes. Review the most up to date recommendations for pre-op diagnostics and management, along with a discussion of the planning, design, and implementation of an NP driven pre-op clinic.
