Hear the current evidence-based practice in the management of anxiety disorders across the lifespan within the primary care setting. Focus will include pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic management strategies used for the treatment of anxiety in the child and adolescent population, adult population including pregnancy and breastfeeding considerations for women of child-bearing age, and the geriatric population. Additionally, current trends and concerns related to prescribing practices of benzodiazepines, benzodiazepine withdrawal, and titration and tapering recommendations for this class of medications will be discussed.
